5 Affordable Pickleball Paddles

5 Affordable Pickleball Paddles

While competitive tournament-ready pickleball paddles can be an investment that will hopefully last a long time, high-price paddles can be out of reach for those starting out. Or for those looking to stock the garage with backup paddles for guests. Thankfully, it is possible to find a quality paddle at a more affordable price. We’ve rounded up five great budget-friendly paddles, in no particular order, for you to choose from.

1) Upstreet Pickleball Paddle - Polypropylene Honeycomb Composite Core

This Upstreet graphite paddle sells on Amazon for $32.99, a far cry from the sometimes upwards of $100 price tag on many similar paddles. Polypropylene honeycomb is a great choice for the core of your pickleball paddle, as it is lightweight and has a large sweet spot. This paddle also comes with a neoprene cover to keep your paddle protected when it’s not in use.

2) Amazin’ Aces Paddle Bundle

The Amazin’ Aces Paddle Bundle is the perfect option if you and a friend are just starting to test the pickleball waters. While wood is typically not the first choice of material for most players, it will still get you through the game. Plus, 2 paddles, 4 balls and a carrying bag for $25.99 is a hard deal to beat.

3) Rally Tyro 2 Pro Pickleball Paddle

Coming in at just under $50, this USA Pickleball-approved paddle has a polypropylene honeycomb core, polycarbonate facing and a perforated moisture-wicking grip for durable and comfortable play. The polypropylene core promotes power and control, and the polycarbonate facing enhances the sweet spot to give you a better chance of hitting a perfect shot.

4) Flybold Graphite Face Pickleball Paddle

This Flybold paddle has a graphite face and a honeycombed polymer core. It’s lightweight, quiet and offers a comfortable grip with its cushioned handle. It is marketed as being an excellent choice for beginners, but is suitable across any level of experience. Amazon sells a pair of these paddles for $39.97.

5) Champion Spark Pickleball Paddle

The most expensive paddle on our list is the Champion Spark Pickleball Paddle (and zippered cover) which costs $54.99. This paddle also has a polypropylene honeycomb core, but this time has a fiberglass face. It is of average paddle weight and has a thicker polymer core which allows you to drive the ball farther. The Champion Spark paddle has a 30-day return window and a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty if you run into any problems.

These paddles are practical, well-made and, most importantly, affordable. While many of the highest-end paddles are expensive, it’s not necessary to break the bank in order to play the game you love.
