Get Paid to Create Content for Pickleball University – The Front Page of Pickleball

Doesn’t the pickleball community feel a little different than other sports? You’ve heard things like “I just want to grow the sport” from other players or organizations in the game. Or perhaps you’ve seen a 4.5 become enthusiastic about teaching beginners how to play. If you drop by league play, you’ve overheard a group of veterans throwing some, let’s say “colorful” banter, towards each other. We love pickleball, but we don’t think it’s half as fun without the community – and each player’s unique voice.

This is why we started Pickleball University. We set out to build a platform that amplified and connected real voices from real picklers around the world. Losing the marketing/corporate jargon for a minute, we didn’t want this to be another blog, or some corporate fed pickleball newsletter – those are dime a dozen. We wanted to create a player-led space that is sometimes educational and instructional, other times it’s nonsense that makes you chuckle. A place to meet people from around the world and take on new experiences you wouldn’t find anywhere else.

We think the best content is still hidden – it’s happening in conversations, in people’s personal Insta and Facebook feeds. That’s why we are willing to pay for the buried treasure. We want to hear your voice - and want to pay you for what you have to say. There is no limit or long-term obligation. If you want to submit one photo, or a dozen photos, we are willing to reward you for it.

Here’s how it works.

What are we looking for…

·      Photos

·      Videos

·      Articles/Entries

·      Any form of content really…

·      Ongoing contributors

Submitting content…

There are two ways to submit content.

1.     The first is most likely going to be photos and videos via social. All you have to do is tag Pickleball University or use #pickleballuniversity on Facebook or Instagram content that you want to submit. If your account is set to private, we won’t be notified of your submission, so if this is the case, just email us your submission – see instructions in the 2nd point below.

2.     For most written content, like a blog entry, just shoot us an email at [email protected]. Simply add “PBU Submission” into the subject line and we will check it out.

Review process…

To prevent spammers, we will check out your content and DM or email you back if we think it’s the right fit, and ensure it isn’t content owned by someone else. Also, not all content is a great fit, and to make sure there is a quality check, we will take that into account on any submission. This can sometimes take up to 5 days to review, but we will get back to you regardless if it’s a yes or no.

Compensation…

For each piece of content – we will pay you in the form of an Amazon gift card as follows:

·      Photo: $5 per photo

·      Short form videos (Up to 2 minutes): $15

·      Long form videos (Greater than 2 minutes): $25 for 2 minutes of video, an additional $10 for every 2 minutes afterwards

·      Articles/Entries: $50 for each entry

Payments will be sent in the first week of each month, for all the contributions owed from the previous month.

We would love to have you as a regular contributor!

We would LOVE to have you come on board as part of the team. We will work with you to establish what creation cadence looks like, what you’re interested in creating, and figure out what compensation looks like together.

So, join us. Help us continue to build Pickleball University into the Front Page of Pickleball, and get rewarded for it. For any general questions, just shoot us a note at [email protected] and we will get back to you. We will take those questions and build an FAQ on this post, and ultimately into an FAQ on our main nav.

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
-The PBU Crew.
